Give once a year.
Choose a fund, choose an amount, and see exactly what it covers before you commit to anything. It takes about a minute.

What would you like it to do?
Every fund here pays for something specific, and the summary updates as you choose. If your employer matches, tick the box — it is the single highest-leverage twenty minutes available to this school.
Recognition
Five levels, and only one of them matters.
We publish levels because families ask for them. The number that actually moves anything is participation — the proportion of families who give at all, which is what foundations and accreditors look at.
Guides’ Circle
$10,000+
Named at the donor’s discretion, and never without asking first.
Cosmic Circle
$5,000–$9,999
After the First Great Lesson, which is where everything starts.
Orchard Circle
$2,500–$4,999
For the street the school has been on since 2009.
Garden Circle
$1,000–$2,499
Invited to the spring planting, which is muddier than it sounds.
Every Family
$1–$999
The level that matters most. Participation is the number foundations look at.
Questions we get
Before you give.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Montessori Makers School is a 501(c)(3) and our EIN appears on every receipt. Receipts go out within two business days.
Can I give anonymously?
Yes, and a number of families do. Tell us in the notes field and your name will not appear in the annual report or anywhere else.
Does my child know whether we gave?
No. Guides are not told which families give or how much, for the same reason they are not told which families receive aid.
We already pay tuition. Why is there a fund at all?
Tuition covers about 88% of what a place actually costs. We could close that gap by raising tuition instead, which would price out the families we most want here. The fund is the alternative.
What if we cannot give this year?
Then do not. Participation is genuinely more useful to us than any individual amount, and nobody is tracking who did not.
Anything else, or a conversation about a larger gift, goes to giving@montessorimakersschool.org. The Head of School would genuinely rather have coffee than send a proposal. The full accounts are in the annual report.
