What a school website costs

The numbers are on this page because you should be able to build a budget line without booking a call with a salesperson first.

Up to 8 pages

$4,500to build

then $1,200 a year in care

The right scope for a new school, a single program, or an organization that needs a real foundation and does not need much more than that.

Most common

Growth

9 to 15 pages

$7,500to build

then $1,800 a year in care

An established school with a couple of programs, a story worth telling properly, and an admissions path that should actually lead somewhere.

Influence

16 pages or more

$12,000to build

then $2,400 a year in care

The full site for a school with multiple programs, a through-line from Toddler to Elementary or beyond, and a real amount to say.

What every tier includes

The interviews, the writing, the design, the build and the launch. We start by talking to you, and often to your guides and a few current families, because the sentence that sells your school is almost always something a parent already said out loud on a tour and nobody wrote down.

Copy is not an add-on here. Explaining Montessori to a family who does not have it, without condescending to her and without retreating into jargon, is most of the work, and it is the part a template vendor cannot do for you at any price.

Annual care begins after launch and covers hosting, security, updates and a defined allotment of changes. You can also edit the site yourself without a support ticket and without a per-change fee.

You own it

The site is yours outright from the day it launches. Annual care is maintenance, not a license, and cancelling it does not take your website away. If you ever leave us, the site leaves with you.

This is worth checking against whatever you are on now. On several school website platforms, cancelling the subscription means the site stops being yours, and most schools do not find that out until they try to leave.

Before your next renewal

Add up the annual license, the change requests billed by the hour, and the time your admissions director spends fighting an editor she did not choose. Compare that to a site you own outright plus $1,200 to $2,400 a year, and run it over three years rather than one.

For some schools the answer is that switching is not worth it right now, and we will tell you that. For a lot of them the honest answer is that they have been renting a worse version of what they could own.
